Saw you at Comic-con yesterday! 1 chapter into the first book and I'm already glad I bought them. I hope one day I can do the same sort sort o thing you you do professionally.

Hey Sam,
I just thought I'd let you know that you're one of the main reasons I'm working on a comic of my own at the moment! I'm still getting the hang of it but I'm proud of where I've got so far.
Basically way back the best part of a decade ago, I emailed you some sketches and asked about being a cartoonist. You were very encouraging and it was really nice to receive a compliment from a professional cartoonist, it certainly impressed my schoolfriends!
Anyway I just wanted to say thanks, it really helped my confidence a lot at the time.
